RWRN Partners with Chabad of Central Brooklyn on Brooklyn Drop-In Center
As part of our ongoing community outreach efforts, RWRN has long aspired to create a welcoming drop-in center for the people we serve. We’re thrilled to partner with Chabad of Central Brooklyn on the RWRN/Ezer drop-in center.
Starting with one day a week, RWRN volunteers will have a location in the Kensington area of Brooklyn provided by our partner organization Chabad of Central Brooklyn. RWRN’s community hub will provide a place for meetings, one-on-one interactions, events, free resources, as well as a help desk.
About RWRN/Ezer/Ezer for Survivors
RWRN/Ezer/Ezer for Survivors primarily works with vulnerable individuals including caregivers, Holocaust survivors, their children, and grandchildren (2G/3G), and those facing tough life situations through no fault of their own.
RWRN creates group activities, opportunities for social interaction, seminars (live and via Zoom), classes, advice, and one-on-one guidance.
How RWRN’s Ezer for Survivors is different. While many organizations currently address the needs of Holocaust survivors, many lack a personalized touch. We’ve heard from survivors that they can feel especially lonely before the weekends and holidays. RWRN EfS creates personalized one-on-one events and ongoing connections between survivors and Holocaust survivors in partnership with the United States Chaplain Corps.
Safety and privacy first
While RWRN has an open door policy, to keep all members safe to protect the vulnerable individuals we serve as well as our volunteers, all attendees are carefully vetted. After the vetting process is completed, we maintain an open door policy with no membership fees or reduced fees.
